Child safety standards
Last updated: 9 July 2026
three·words has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. These standards describe how we prevent, detect, and respond to child safety issues across our app and website.
Prohibited content and behavior
We prohibit any content or conduct that sexualizes, exploits, endangers, or harms children, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any sexualization of minors. Violations result in immediate content removal and account termination.
Age requirements
three·words requires users to be at least 13 years old, as stated in our Terms of Service. The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Prevention
- Automatic content filtering screens every submission for objectionable words before it is accepted.
- Submissions are visible only to the person who requested them — there are no public feeds, no direct messaging, and no way to browse or contact other users.
Reporting
- In-app reporting — any user can report any content they receive, directly from the app, in two taps.
- Email — anyone (with or without an account) can report a child safety concern to admin@threewordsapp.com.
Reports are reviewed within 24 hours.
Our response to CSAE
When we become aware of content or behavior that violates these standards, we:
- Remove the content immediately;
- Terminate the responsible account;
- Report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) or the appropriate local authority, as required by law; and
- Preserve evidence as required for law-enforcement investigations.
Legal compliance
three·words complies with applicable child safety laws, including CSAM reporting obligations, in the regions where the app is available.
Point of contact
